Welcome to WEMM!
The Woodland Ecumenical and Multi-faith Ministries (WEMM) council is an interfaith council consisting of faith communities in Woodland who meet together each month to:
Do Good by bringing our members and the community together to serve, and by supporting local charities helping those in need, and
Promote interfaith worship, friendship, understanding, and respect.
Each participating faith community may have up to 3 voting members of WEMM. We meet once a month, rotating locations between the various member faith communities.
All of Woodland’s faith communities are invited to be members of WEMM, including those outside of Woodland but serving Woodland residents. For more information, or to join one of our meetings to check it out, contact WEMM’s secretary, Viola Fong, 530-379-3553.

WEMM's Purpose
WEMM’s basic premise is that every person is a beloved child of God. WEMM’s purpose is to further interfaith efforts to serve God’s children and to better understand and fellowship with one another.

Peace Picnic

When the Muslim community in Woodland and throughout the United States felt unsafe in the aftermath of 9/11, rather than stay stuck in that feeling of victimhood, they realized that they would only be able to feel safe and survive if they reached out to others in order to build a sense of togetherness. From that effort, the annual Interfaith Community Peace Picnic was born.
Thanksgiving Service
Each year at Thanksgiving, WEMM hosts an inter/multi-faith Thanksgiving Service. The entire community is invited. Donations of food or other gifts are given to Fourth & Hope.

Clergy Corner
Each week, Woodland’s Daily Democrat, our local paper, publishes the Clergy Corner, written by various faith leaders.
